Hello all, I purchased a lot of 250 pulled Federal Trophy Bonded Tipped 180 grain bullets and I am a little stumped on load data. The bullet is kind of long and looks very similar to the Barnes Tipped TSX. I've only loaded Barnes bullets in a .308 in the past and had terrible luck getting them to shoot. Anyone have a pet powder they use for the Barnes 180 grain bullets in 30-06?

As you can see, the profile looks very similar. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe I am over-thinking it. I always heard that bullets with the Barnes profile were finicky to load. I was really hoping someone would chime in with a pet powder. I use IMR4350 with 165 grain Noslers with fantastic results.

I load a 180 gr Nosler BT in 30-06 for my hunting round. I use IMR4895. I would not hesitate to try the same load with the Federal bullet. Of course my load is on the lower end of the range, since that's what my rifle seems to like. So I would bracket that to start, and go from there. I'd be more concerned about seating depth initially.

55.0gr of IMR-4350;
58.0gr of RL22 up to 60.0gr in Winchester or Norma case.
Federal 210 or Winchester LRP. Seat to 0.030" off the grooves, or to feed through the magazine.
