Did some load testing yesterday, and wanted to share some of my findings. Of course, my findings may differ from yours, always start with light loads and work up, etc.

Rifles were a 22" Springfield Armory M1A ca. 1996 with 1:12 barrel, and an 18" PTR-91F with 1:12 T/C heavy barrel. Groups were fired from rest and sandbags at 100yd. 5rd groups were fired over a chronograph.

Brass is milsurp WRA, '68 and '69
Powder is IMR4895
Primer is CCI 200
While bullets used were Sierra Matchking 155, 168, and Hornady SST 165, i will concentrate on the SST's as they produced best groups for us.

Starting loads of 40.0gr gave excellent groups in both rifles, under 1.5" with MV's of approx. 2475 for M1A, and 2360 for PTR. Groups opened from 40.5 to 41.5, but a load of 42.0gr produced a group of 1.740" with 4 hits within 1.082" at 2650fps from M1A, and 1.557" total at 2475 from the PTR.

Just wanted to share our results for informational purposes here. Haven't seen much load data for PTRs, though M1A's are well represented
