Loaders Thumb High Capacity Magazine

HKS mag speedloaders.

There is a guy on the web selling board-cut AR mag loaders. Spendy, but they work.

If you have time in front of the telly, stripper clips for AR and AK magazines, and a spoon, make range day much more enjoyable. Load the strippers on your down time, and dump in to mags as needed. A real thumbsaver for sure !

The UpLULA loader is the way to go for pistol magazines. After the very first range day using my new UpLULA, when I came home I immediately started looking for another to keep as a backup in case the original one was lost (it is hard to imagine one breaking) - I had made up my mind that first day to never be without one when going pistol shooting.

I always use my thumb.

My thumb, much like the rest of my hand, has a great feature that responds to use like this; it grows calloused.

I loaded these by hand.

(The screwdriver and pliers are required to re-align the reusable DShK links, they don't disintegrate like western links, and occasionally get bent in use)

So much like my left hand fingertips are iron-hardened from playing guitar, my right hand thumb was forged by Mother Russia herself, and can load ammunition in to magazines, or even belts, without loader assistance.

I bought an uplula pistol loader last year and boy is it awesome. I was really missing out for a long time.

For my AR, I just use my thumb, I only load 1.5 magazines for each range session anyway.

Uplula, is the definitive choice by the majority of shooters, many have several. I do use my Thumb till this day, and for some reason it doesn't bother me at all. I also never had a problem getting the amount of rounds that the mags were meant to have. You just need to put on a pair of cheapo , home Depot , gloves if you are having problems.
It's much easier than pushing a plastic mag on a table top and having it go flying. I have special dumbbells for my thumb workouts.

I like the Uplula also I have several models. They all work well. I wish that they would produce a model for the Ruger BX-25 magazines.

I bring my Uplula to the range competition meets and have it out on the bench for anyone to use. It always gets checked out by folks who are new.

Some of the older guys I have seen fumbling trying to get rounds into magazines I have just walked up and placed it on the bench.

They all leave as new converts. :D
