I hate using lube for loading, so I came up with this idea on my progressive press for loading 357 sig.

stage 1 deprime/size using the carbide lee 40SW die

Stage 2 size with 357 die (steel) using the lee sizing die

Stage 3 power through die and mouth expansion (lee)

Stage 4 seat the ranier 124 grain flat point with the lee seating die

Using RP cases, I loaded and shot 120 rounds through the G31 with no problems whatsoever.

I can't be the first one to come up with this, what's the drawback?

thanks

RCBS Dies are around $35 no?

Dillons 357 sig dies aren't cheap, but they are the only ones that I know of who make carbide dies in that caliber.
