I want to try lead SWC bullets in my 1911 but not sure what OAL to use for loading. Anyone care to share your data?

It's IDP#1 bullet from Missouri bullet co.

Also, I wonder what is the safe starting load using BullsEye powder.

Seat one with the FMJ setting and measure OAL. Go from there, checking with your mags and your gun.

Load the longest OAL you can and still pass the PLUNK test. If you have more than 1 gun make sure the ammo will work in all of them before you load a batch.

I have 1 gun only. I guess I will try same setup as RN. Will 4gr of bullseye be a safe starting load? To make power factor I use 4.4 with 230gr RN

I am happily running 4.6 g, same powder and bullet, so I wonder if you should just stick with the 4.4g load for now. My 230g FMJ is 5.2g but that's bullseye, not IDPA.
