I have been loading leaded bullets for quite a while. I decided to switch to plated and ordered some from Extreme. I've always heard you load plated the same as plated, correct? I will be using Bullseye powder with 124gr RN

There is never any load data published for plated, only lead and jacketed

Use Starting to mid-level jacketed data.

Starting loads for lead may be to low for higher friction plated bullets.

I use extreme copper plated 124 gr. in 9mm.
We are talking 9mm, correct?

The Lee reloading manual has copper plated
listed but none with Bullseye.
If you are already using lead you probably already have
a light crimp or no crimp which is what you will need.
I have found paying attention to bullet diameter .356 or
or .355 makes for a better comparison and closer velocity
to book with copper plated.

The Extreme are rated to 1,300 fps on their site.
I have never had an issue with separation.
Start low to midrange and work from there.

Be carefull your results may vary.

I like the plated X-treme bullets in my XD40. Very consistent and the price is right. I used mid level jacketed data to start load development. Results below for everyday practice rounds.

Primer- CCI 500
Powder- CFE Pistol
Charge- 6.4gr
C.O.L.- 1.125"

Springfield XD40 4" barrel. Chronograph at 15' from muzzle.

Average velocity- 1032fps
Hi- 1046fps
Low- 1025fps
ES- 21.3
