Loading the CZ 527

I really like the 223 CS 527. You guys that own one, can rounds be inserted into the magazine through the top of the receiver with the bolt open or do I need to remove the magazine and load it out of the rifle?

Remove the magazine.

It has a single stack magazine, so you have to load the magazine while removed from the rifle.

Rather than keep topping off the mag, just buy a second 5-round mag. Yes you do have to remove it to put another round in. And yes, it's a PIA to keep doing it. Therefore, spend a couple of bucks & get the second mag, you'll be glad you did.
