Ok so some time back I was asking how well longshot would perform in handgun, reviews were so wildly mixed that I was hesintent to try it at first. Now I am a believer, I load 147gr 9mm and 180gr 40 S&W to their max (4.7gr and 8.0gr respectively) and have had none of the issues others have reported, no pressure spikes, my brass is clean and bulge free, no cycling issues in any of those three pistols (2XDms and a Sig 226) and as far as the super loud muzzle blast that appears to be bogus too, fired factory rounds and max load longshot round back to back and while the note was ever so slightly different the noise level was the same. Those longshot loads are pushing some serious juice, recoil on that Sig feels like a mild load 44 magnum. Those loads are too much for target practice but they are my defense loads from now on
