if you had to choose one of the other, and no other choices, what would you buy Lee Loadmaster or Dillon Square Deal B? For 45 acp.

I do not have any experience with these two presses, but have to ask why you limit it to 45ACP only. Is this the only cartridge you ever plan to load for? If so fine but if you plan on loading other cartridges like bottle neck rifle cases you may want to reconsider your choice of the SDB.

i've done alot of research and that combined with my budget has narrowed it down to these two presses. 45acp is the only round i will be reloading, with no plans to reload rifle rounds. i know many will say to go with the 550B, it's only $100 or so more, but $100 is a $100. in a perfect world i've have a loaded dillon 650, but i don't live anywhere near perfect.:) even a new SDB is more than i'd like to spend but i'm going to keep an eye on ebay for one. won't be shooting much here for a long time, not untill the 2ft of snow melts!:banghead: the loadmaster i can get from midway for a decent price, checked out all the youtube vids on the loadmaster. i think those would help alot if i bought that press. i know the cheaper price might lead to more headaches but i'm use to that.

I have had a SDB since the '80s, with 38/357 and 44Sp./44Mag dies and plates, and it is still going strong. Loaded some this afternoon. (It may just be a plain SD, I don't even remember) When I reload high power rifle I do it on an old Lyman C frame single station. I don't shoot those that much and I am extra careful; usually weigh at least every 5th charge, but I don't load anything below .25 caliber. I saw a Rem 760 in 30-06 blow up, up close and personal, and don't ever want to see a replay.

The SDB is the only way to go. The NO B.S. warranty is truly a NO B.S. warranty.

If you ever have problems with it and have to call Dillon, they don't care how you broke it. They only want to know which parts you need. FREE of charge!

I would take one Square Deal over 10 Loadmasters! Go with Blue.....you can't go wrong!
