I just got off the phone with Ray from Lobo Leather. Ray advised me that he is in negations with an experienced, father and son, team of leather workers, who wish to continue the Lobo Leather brand. They will be offering the same range of products as Ray did.

If things go as planned they will be accepting new orders starting in early October 2015. Ya I’ve already got my pre order in. I guess that’s what happens when you’ve known someone 40+ years:D.

Glad to hear it

I screwed around and waited too long. I know there are other choices but I don't think he would pass the torch to just anyone.

Thanks for sharing.

I hope they're in negotiations instead. ;) Lobo has some great designs. I hope the product comes out as nice as it did with Ray working the leather. Time will tell.

I missed the memo; Ray is quitting?

I've got three of his holsters: really top quality work and a joy to do business with.
He is retiring and yes quite right the fella makes top notch work at more than generous prices. I hope if someone xcontinues the name they are every bit as talented as ray is.

RETIREMENT TIME!

Old Lobo is retiring, effective November, 2015. That means that I must stop taking new orders now (August 23, 2015).

UPDATE! UPDATE! UPDATE!

As of September 18, 2015 negotiations are under way for a possible sale of Lobo Gun Leather. It now looks like Lobo Gun Leather will be continuing under new ownership as soon as the details can be worked out and a contract closed.

STAND BY FOR FURTHER DEVELOPMENTS!

I recently received a Tom Threepersons with floral carving from Ray and it is a really nicely done holster. It goes perfectly with my S&W 1926 in .44 Special.
