Local gun buyback

There's going to be a gun buyback in Seattle. I was thinking about bringing in a couple $50 worn out, un-fixable, jams every other shot, old 10/22's for a couple $100 gift cards.

....But while I'm there, I might just buy a couple guns too.

I heard horror stories about people who try to buy guns there but get kicked out by the police. Did any of you attempt this?

If I go to the back of the line, holding those 2 rifles so I don't look suspicious, do you think I could get away with buying a couple handguns? I might buy them, then put them into a backpack so no one can see then when its my turn to trade in the 10/22's. Worth the risk?

I don't get those buy backs, if it is legal for the cops or whom ever to buy them why not you or I, seems to me there should be some serial numbers and names taken.

I believe they tend to frown on it, but good luck. Those 10/22 receivers should bring close to $100 though, and if not, parting them out will sure bring more. Just a thought.
