Long distance shooting

I'm an ex-army sniper looking to stay fresh. I setup up a Model 700 like the M-24A2 SWS I had and have a .338 Lapua Dakota Longbow. I was wondering if anyone knew of ANY ranges ANYWHERE in Michigan (or near enough) where I could shoot to 500? 1000? When I was stationed in CO this wasn't an issue because of all the prairie state land but back here the best I can find is 300. Thanks.

Do a search for Civilian Marksmanship Program matches in your state. I believe they shoot out to 600 M, and the ranges they shoot at may be open to the public.

Another group to check with is the PALMA gang. Do a search for PALMA and you may have a group near you as well that could lead you to a long distance range.

Do you want to shoot where score is kept?
The Michigan Rifle and Pistol Club shoots NRA Long Range and Palma at Camp Grayling.
They have Across the Course (200 -600 yards) matches at Blue Water Sportsmans Club near Port Huron.

Not many of them have rifle ranges longer than 100 yards, but some do.

Thanks I'll check those out, I grew up near Port Huron and had no clue BWSC had anything more than a zero range.
