Okay, I know this has been posted somewhere before, but after about an hour of using the "search" feature, nothing came up :scrutiny: . Anyway, on my WASR, I could stand to have the standard 9" LOP stock set lengthened, and I know that someone, somewhere, posted a link to a site that sells 11" LOP wood stocks....but I didn't bookmark it. Had a yellow background, I know that. Anyhow, if anyone knows a reliable vendor or someone who has 11" LOP stocks for a WASR, and would enjoy handing out the link/contact information, help would be appreciated :)

And oh yeah, after I get a new stock set (maybe even replace the forend stuff, who knows), I am thinking about finishing the wood to where it looks a little bit more spiffy than the "looks-like-Balsa-wood" look it's got now....saw a pic of someone's AK where they refinished it into a nice deep red color (not so much a "gloss", more of a rubbed in oil), and that would be nifty, but those THR-ers who've finished their own wood--suggestions are welcome. :)

Thanks.

I'm in the same boat. Shoot me a PM if you find a place with nice longer stocks for a WASR.

THAT WAS IT!!!!

Thank you much, Number 6. I recognize the site.

That being said, what is a WASR classed as, so I can figure out what to order there (hopefully it can take an 11" LOP stock set)? Just a "regular" romanian, no side-cut, butt-pad (BP), no side-swivel would be the most like what's on there now? And would I need to install the sling stud on the bottom of the stock (to replicate what it is now), or would that come with it? (or does anyone know?)

I could probably venture a guess at what would be closest, but your best bet would be to just call them up and ask Ironwood. They are supposed to be very easy to work with.

The Wasr series of rifles just uses the standard buttstock for stamped rifles that the vast majority of all Ak series of rifles use.

On the website, of the pictures on their page, it is the one that is labeled Egyptian Maadi, Romanian, Hungarian stamped straight cut

If I am ever not at work while they're open, I may just do that; I'll post the results to my querys here, of course, for any other interested parties.
