Went to the Sertoma gunshow in Colorado Springs today. Pretty much the usual the Jerky was $28.00 a pound (If they can find somebody that stupid more power to ‘em) they had beads, and belt buckles and used movies (I got Little Big Man for 3 bucks) and all the other flea market crap.

But they also had 2 places to join the NRA and one place to Join CSSA and the Firearms Colalition And all kinds of people that you could tell had never been to a gunshow in their life (They were buying the jerky)

We bought some 9X18 ammo and a new magazine for the Taurus and then DW looked at me and said I want a .22 rifle and hour later we walked out with this a CZ 452 scout NIB $280.00

PS the advocacy groups were doin' pretty good business a very good sign

s that a deer curled up next to it?

That is my dog's butt

I had no idea DW was in the market for a .22 there were a bunch of them there but they all looked pretty cheap the CZ was well, a CZ.

The coolest part of the show was all the first time gun buyers ( one guy actually thought you could get a CHP at the gun show) and all the people joining the different gun rights organisations there.

I picked up a few things there today and then went to lunch with some old friends.
Bought a case of 1k wolf 7.62x39 for $250. A colt series 70 govt in mint condition for $700. A first year issue browning bar-22 for $300 very nice clean rifle and looks like a mini bar. also a jc higgins model 80 in stainless, it was also like new and from what i see its not a easy pistol to find. can not find anything on it in stainless. it is a first year issue 1955. I guess it is made by hi-standard and is the predicessor of the model 101. over a 6 inch barrel for $225. I did get 5 45 auto mags. 3 ww2, one post war colt and a sistema for $10 each.
Glad there is a break between show for a few weeks. Oh well may go back in the mourning for a few minutes.

Nice little rifle you got there though
Thanks,I'm not ordinarily the type to get enthusiastic about a .22 and certainly not a single shot .22 but this little rifle was very well made by someone who liked their job.

The stock is Beechwood, very well fitted to the action & barrel. I didn't see any tooling marks on the metal. The parts are very tightly fitted and still a little stiff ( a sign that it hasn't been shot all that much if at all) The rifle has actually got some heft to it, and over all they did a very neat job of putting all together.

The more CZs I buy the less I want to buy anything else.

hey nice telephone/telegraph insulators too! I would be the one to notice that lol

Would you believe they were given to me as a tip from a customer who found them in her mom's attic

I was looking at a CZ (452 Lux) this afternoon and almost walked out with one too. Not at the gun show though, if I had known about it I'd had to make the trip up north. Is it running tomorrow? :)
