Well, when my friend linked me to the add for this gun I was quite skeptical at the title of the gun..

Kalashnikov MAK90 Sporter

I was very affraid to see an horrible californian style hillpistolgripped AJ, with all evil features removed... But when the seller sent me a picture, my fear vanished and I was quite happy with what I saw !!!

Well, it lacks the bayonet lug, but I can live with that, at this price. around 500$, which is a good price for an AKM around here..

I think I will just refinish the woods and make them a little darker how i like them, and we will be just fine !

my other milled and trigger happy vietnamese AK was starting feeling lonely in the safe.. She needed a friend to support all the jokes (you aint accurate, you're a piece of junk) made daily by my 6 AR's

How do you like her ? she should be home for Xmas Just need to gather some cash.

Pretty sure the market in Geneva is a bit different then the one in Santa Fe.

A good friend from high school

We are both 56 now so we have been best of friends for 41 years. My bud gave me a Norinco MAK 90 out of the blue. He's a DDS and I'm a school teacher, so he can afford it but that's not the point. We both have put together a small arsenal of weapons for specific uses. Of course he has some top of the line weapons compare to me but we are both prepared as much as one could possibly be if the SHTF, other than living in a rural area away from metro areas and that's next on my agenda, in NE Texas. Oh I also was given a Rem. 870 Police Issue. Now that's good friend!

congrats on the purchase, very nice indeed. just picked one up recently and ordered NOS chinese stock to replace thumbhole stock, what a difference. one of the best ak variants out there, thicker receiver,chrome lined barrel, and one of the best triggers from the factory

It looks nice. I always heard not to touch a Chinese one with a 10 foot pole but everyone else on here are saying there awesome. Someone want to compare one with a Romanian one for me? (one without canted sights and that kinda crap) Only thing I really dislike about it is the shiny bolt, that part should be colored to match the remainder of the rifle's surrounding parts.
