I just ordered an Eotech 512. Seems like a good option considering it takes AA batteries, has a potential 2500 hours of battery life (with lithium), a low battery warning and auto off. It'll fit that big rail nicely and as I recall, the ring and dot reticle was easy to use.

Yours wont be the first ak with a front sight pegged all the way to one side or the other to zero. It kind of surprised me though considering neither of mine had to have any major adjustments and a lot of people online have had similar results as me. As long as it zeroed is all that matters in the end though. The more you shoot it, the more you will love it. This may be your first AK purchase, but it probably won't be the last
