Cheesemaker: I grew up shooting my Grandfather's and His Old Friends S/A Colts in Oklahoma in the 1950`s and I truly learned to loved them. I bought my first two S/A revolvers on the same day in 1972 in Joplin Missouri. They were a 7 1/2 in & a 4 5/8 in barreled Ruger Blackhawk Convertibles both in 45LC & 45ACP. I lost my 4 5/8 inch Ruger and its 45ACP cylinder in Viet Nam but I still have my 7 1/2 in barreled Ruger Blackhawk in 45LC & 45ACP. It is by far my favorite, and the one I use the most, of all the revolvers I now own. And I now own several Ruger S/A`s in Blackhawks, Super Blackhawks , and Vaqueros of different calibers and barrel lengths and finishes. But as for me, I just prefer a Ruger S/A in 45LC & 45ACP. Mine are for me, super accurate and easy to use even in the dark. They also fit my hand better than Colts and Colt Clones do now after all these years of shooting them. Give a Ruger S/A a try I bet You will be surprised and impressed, by the way they perform.
