Looking for 18" .625 AR barrel

Here's what I'm looking for:

5.56/223 Wilde
18"
Rifle length gas
A1-ish profile preferred, but I'll take anything .625 at the gas block
1.9" long gas journal to mount a FSB
1:8 twist preferred
Carbon steel preferred.
Melonite/Nitride finish preferred
1/2-28 threads
M4 barrel extension


I bought a Faxon Gunner barrel which I thought was perfect but the gas journal is too short. I'm looking at Black Hole Weaponry, but I'd prefer not to go stainless. Voodoo Innovations looks good, but it's 1:7 and pricey. What other makers do you guys know of?

I don't think anyone makes precisely what you are looking for. Why are your requirements so exact? Some of them, in actual use, aren't bringing much to the table.

The simplest solution is to buy a A1ish barrel with a FSB already installed. http://www.del-ton.com/Del_Ton_Inc_Barrels_p/bl1028.htm

Most true A1 barrels will have a 1:12 twist, ala the Green Mountain.

Fulton Armory has a Criterion 20 inch CL barrel, .625 gas block, rifle length, 1:8, match chamber (maybe Wylde).

I am not planning to put on a standard FSB, but a PRI folding front sight/gas block.

I would say go with a 20" barrel and your problems are solved.
