Im looking to add to my small collection of pistols.I would like some suggestions on what to buy.Im wanting the pistol to be .45 or .40.I already have a pistol that is .45 and would like it to be .40 if possible..I would like this firearm to accept the higher cap mags.Over 20 rounds.I have seen on the net some higher cap glock mags but they weren't From glock and heard they are junk.Call it a shtf type gun or whatever I really just want to get something that takes the higher cap mags. Thanks for any suggestions.

My current pistols.

Ruger p97dc .45
Jennings 9mm "was my first pistol i know its junk"
smith and Wesson .357 revolver

sounds like you're looking for a glock 22 or a beretta 96 in .40

they each have a full auto sibling, in 9mm, glock 18 and beretta 93 which had available 20+ round mags. with a little judicious file work on the feed lips, i'm sure you could get them to feed the .40 cartridge. i can't think of any other pistols with mags large enough for your desires

Can anyone help me find a link to the 29 round glock mags.I have googled it but only can find the scherer mags that i have heard bad things about.I cant find ones made by glock. Thanks for your time.

I just got back from the gun shop and held the glock g22 and g23 .I must admit the g22 fit my hand like a glove. The also said there was Glock made higher cap magazines out there but he also didnt even look to make sure there wasnt a round in the chamber when he handed it to me :(.The g23 was just to small for my hands..Im thinking of getting the g22 down the road. Thanks guys

If I was gonna get a .40, this would be my first choice probably:

But I dunno if any hi-caps (20, 30 rounders etc.) are made for it. I believe the standard capacity for the 75 in .40 is 13 (not 10 as shown there). You might have to run with Glock for that requirement. However, it's possible that Glock made & imported the factory 29/33 rounders prior to 94, and now, post 04, although they're legal again, they haven't started to re-import them, either for legal red-tape importing reasons, or just the market/profitability isn't there (I kinda doubt the latter). They would know for sure at www.glocktalk.com .

Here's some hi-caps:

But note the disclaimer:

Made by USA magazines, these mags most likely will need modifications to work reliably. No warranty.

The non-OEM 9mm Beretta mags have a much more comforting spiel accompanying them:

These brand new magazines are made in USA by Western. Lifetime warranty

But they're not in .40 - could probably be made to run in a Beretta 96 with a tweak of the feed lips.

If you do get a bunch of these true hi-caps, then you'll just *have* to get a Kel-Tec Sub 2000, or a Mech-Tech carbine which accepts Glock mags, now won't you?
