Hey there,

Ive been looking around online for some hi cap mags for my USP .40 Compact and the largest Ive seen are 12 rounders. Im sure there are higher cap out there though.

Im looking for highest cap I can get (for .40 cal or .357 SIG ) without the mag extending more than 1/2 to 1 inch below the grip ( but prefereably flush, I still want it to be concealable.)

Anyone know?

Are you sure?

I've never heard of USP40compact mags that hold more than 12 rounds.

You might want to go over the www.hkpro.com and ask the guys over there if they know.

;)

12 rounders are as big as they get. they come in two flavors. with finger rest and without. the ones without stick out about 1/4" below the butt and are as close to flush as you can get with hi-caps in the .40-C.

I am sure that a full size usp mag would work too. but, for one extra round and about 3/4" increase I dont think it is worth it. If you feel you need more ammo consider carrying a spair mag and drilll on mag changes

I'm not a USP expert, but I don't think the full size mags will fit in the compact. Perhaps someone else will chime in to confirm that.

That's correct. Full size USP mags will definately not work in the compact versions. I've tried it!

One day I was at the range shootin' my USPc and decided I needed another magazine. The guy behind the counter accidentally sold me a fullsize mag! I didn't realize it until I tried loading it into my gun. Too big. :D

I've only seen 12s for my .40.

But, all things considered, that works really well on the logistics end:

13 in the weapon, 12 in the spare = 25 rounds.

Since I reload into 50 round plastic boxes, that's two cycles per box fired into the backyard berm.

While I'm not really unhappy with the 10 rounders, I've gotta think on getting a few of the normal caps.
