What recommendations would you give for a 9mm pistol that is already optic ready and will accept the Holosun 407/507c which is also the same footprint as the Trijicon. LGS has a 507c for me if I want it. Just need something for it to go on......

Anything that accepts a Trijicon RMR will work. They have the same mount pattern. CZ P10C, Glock 19/17, S&W M&P, all have optics ready variants that should accept an RMR. There are some Sigs and FNs as well. You want something with a fat slide (Not a 1911 or CZ-75 for example).

Do you have a gun that you can send the slide off and get milled? The optic will fit tighter for better security and will sit lower.

I have six red dot equipped handguns (two with 507Cs and two with 507ks, two with Swampfox Sentinals). Only one of them was optic ready (A S&W Shield that won't accept a 507C). Three were sent to Primary Machine for an optic cut and suppressor height sights installed.

I also like the rear sight dovetail mounted in front of the optic so it's still cowitnessed if I need it, but it doesn't clutter up my optic sight picture. It also protects the optic somewhat from blast from the ejection port. This is an option no OEM gives you.

Another weird thing is often the OEM optic ready variants don't come with suppressor height sights. So if you want to use your iron sights without removing your optic, you need to buy taller sights as well. Sometimes the better deal is buy a suppressor ready handgun (comes with the tall sights) and then have the slide milled with a simple optic cut.

The only slide I have I could send off right now is one off my PCR or P-01.

Is the 507c to wide for that slide?

I have never seen a 507k in the wild, but can get the 507c tomorrow if I want it.

The 507C or RMR sized optics are really too wide for the CZ-75 slides. There are adapters, but they stick out wide and look really weird. The 507k would be better for those.

I have my 507Cs on a P10C and a P07. I really love those guns. One is striker fired and the other hammer fired of course. Otherwise they are similar and even use the same mags. Some holsters even work for both.

I just bought an IWI Masada that comes optic ready. It comes with 4 adapters that will take most of the major platforms. I have a Holosun 507C X2 on it. I had to cut down the screws that come with the Holosun because they were too long, but that took all of 60 seconds. The gun performs like a champ. https://iwi.us/product/m9orp17/

Thanks so far all. Looks like CZ idea needs to wait for a 507k whenever they become available. I didn't my really want to go the Glock route, so I will look at other options. I see where M&P has a 2.0 that is optic ready. I like the 2.0's. That might be an option.

There are a couple 507Ks for sale right now on Ebay. You could buy one of those and have Primary Machine or Jagerwerks mount it to your P01. That would be a great setup. (I want to get a P01 and do that myself actually!)

The M&Ps are nice handguns. You can't go wrong there either with a 507C.

The newer versions of the HK VP9 are optic ready and they have a number of adapter plates available for different optics.

Can't take the credit. This is before optic ready and I sent it to
https://primarymachine.com/
With the dot. They machined it as low on bore access as possible, did the lightening cuts, and then black nitride coated the slide
Primary Machine does do nice work.

They must be able to do the Shadow 2 slide differently. I see on their website, for CZ-75 slide milling, they add an adapter plate for the RMR sized optics.

That will depend on a) what you like and b) what you can get. There are plenty of optics ready firearms being made from FN, Walther, Glock, CZ, SW, Sig etc right now. More and more companies are jumping on the bandwagon too.
