Looking for a holster...help please

Looking for a Nylon Hip holster similar to an Uncle Mikes size 4 or 11 but will fit a 12" barrel Pietta 1858 Remington .44 cap and ball revolver. Does anyone know of anyone that makes one or might custom make one?

First thing came to mind was a buntline holster. So I looked. You want something in nylon, maybe this would work but looking at leather buntline holsters, I'd personally go that route. Right Hand BANDOLEER Gun Holster COLT BUNTLINE / H&R 676 w/ 12" barrel...USA

Thanks sigsmoker...for carrying along with a longgun hunting in the deer woods that buntline bandoleer holster just might be the ticket and the price is reasonable. I like nylon for hunting, dont have to worry about smell or leather getting wet.

sigsmoker - I ordered that exact bandoleer holster which arrived in the mail on Thursday. After getting back last night from spending the weekend at the lake I got to play with the holster and my 12 inch barrel 1858 Remington. The pairing is perfect. The only issue that I didn't like with the holster was that the bottom of it was open and the revolver would sit a little deep in the holster with the crown of the muzzle hanging out about a half inch. I solved that by hand stitching the bottom closed so the muzzle doesn't hang out anymore and with the strap cinched up across the back of the frame and hammer the revolver doesn't budge inside the holster at all. Thanks angain for the help.
