Looking for a long barrel in a subcompact

I like the 12+1 size of 9mm. 10+1 is too small for me, and I don't like glocks, so no glock 26.

I am looking at CZ p10s or even Taurus g2c (maybe wait till the g3c comes out) but I have one issue.
I like the ergos and size and grip of each gun, but I am disappoint that neither comes with a threaded barrel variant, so you can get a g19 length barrel in a g26 sized gun.

I was thinking, can you just slap a P10c barrel 4" or 4.5" threaded, into a p10s? It should fit right, but will it be reliable? Also, same thing on the Taurus. Will a g3 4" barrel function well in a g2c?

don't know about a p10c to p10s but i put my p10f slide on my p10c frame and shot several magazines through it with no problems. i like my p10c grip better than the p10f grip but the longer sight radius didn't make it shoot better for me that day.

I went with a p07 over a p10 because the only reviews I saw about the p10 with a can indicated that it choked on light loads. It's not cheap, but the canik tp9 elite executive is g19 sized, threaded, and comes with an amazing salient trigger in it. Ergos are pretty good too. Not quite p10 good, but better than most everything else.

There is a decent after market for Smith and Wesson Shields.

Might be able to get a longer barrel for one and different sized mags to mix and match.

Since you do not like glocks- Find some other extremely common subcompact gun with after market barrels. May not be easy. First find the after market barrel you like and then buy the gun. Some of the tiny 1911 knockoffs might be a go.

I'm pretty sure it's not an option with the PX4, and it's not a good choice for a threaded barrel use anyway.

On the other hand, the stock APX Compact and Centurion have the same barrel length, and there is a threaded barrel available for the Centurion which would make me think it would work in the Compact.

Not sure about those two but you can certainly put a Medium or full size slide on a compact Sig 320 grip. Many people do. I'm no huge fan of the Sig but it's a very good gun and has a great trigger. I'd take it a million times over my fathers Taurus g2c. And I'm one of the few here who actually likes Taurus. Lol
