so i know that this is completely absurd and completely impractical but im still looking for a
leather belt style holster that fits a Taurus raging judge magnum with a 5 1/2 inch barrel and completely covers the barrel. can someone point me in the right direction?

Best I can advise it to make one your self. Leather can be cased and form fitted to the pistol and when dry will stay formed. All leather holsters I've made only fit its particular model pistol.

That sounds more like my style but im just getting into reloading and casting bullets so my mind cant handle learning another hobby until the reloading newness wares off.

A limitation is probably going to be that the maker have either a dummy or own that particular model of revolver from which to make a pattern and do the wet forming. It's not compatible with anything else.

Thats the problem im noticing. It seems like ill have to ship the gun away because im pretty sure im the only person who would want this around there waist.

As you and Craig say, getting one fitted is the issue.
Friend of mine could make it for you no problem, but none of our guns would be even close lol.

Not being familiar with that model, I googled it and the first hit was not the gun, but rather holsters for the gun.

Here's one https://www.craftholsters.com/taurus-raging-judge-holsters

One thing I'll note in looking for you was most holster makers show a 3" or 6" barrel and not a 5.5" barrel.

Simply Rugged https://www.simplyrugged.com/gun-model-chart.cfm

Pure Kustom may https://www.purekustom.com/large_revolver_holsters.html
Ill call these places and talk to someone over the phone thank you for the info. Hopefully they can make something happen

I looked around and couldn't find a mold for that particular model. Maybe one for one of the shorter guns could be used but I really don't know enough about them to say either way.
