I've been trying to find a photo on the net of a single action revolver that Skeeter Skelton used. I don't remember if it was a Ruger or a Colt but it had a Python type vent rib and I think a dove-tailed front sight. I might be wrong about the sight. I saw it in a TV interview with his son. Sorry that I don't have more details.

I don't recall Skelton having a single action revolver with a ventilated rib barrel. That really doesn't sound like his style.

Probably not the one you're asking about, but the back page of the Nov. "Shooting Times" has an article by Sheriff Wilson about an Old Model .357 Blackhawk converted to .44 special for Skeeter. It doesn't have a ventilated rib, but does have what is described as a King mirror-ramp sight. Unfortunately, he passed away before the work was completed. His son was listed as one of the recipients of the seven copies made.

Lucky dog. I always wanted one of those TLA "Grover's Improved Number 5" jobbies. Too bad he imploded the way he did.
