Looking for Colt Sauer serial numbers 1978-85

I'm looking for serial numbers of the Colt Sauer bolt action rifle from 1978 through 1985. Can anyone help me? I have the production numbers from 1973 - 1978 and am trying to complete a web page about the rifle here.

I have a Colt Sauer .30-06. My father bought off a window of a friend of a friend. The original furniture was taken off by the original owner and replaced with an ugly brown synthetic stock. Apparently the widow did not know where the wood stock was. My father did not think it was anything really special and gave it to me as my first hunting rifle. All he knew was that it felt like a decent gun in the caliber he wanted me to use and the widow was selling it for $100.

It was not until about a year ago that I really looked at the rifle to see who the manufacturer was and noticed "Colt Sauer". Now I just wish I could find a decent stock for it.
