I've been looking at these real hard what is your guys take on them? Thanks

XDGirl,

Mine is in my front pocket as this is sent, if that tells you what I think about it! And I have a lot of guns that I could be carrying in its place, if I thought less of it. My buddy, Larry Barnett of Larry's Pistol and Pawn, has a long list of people waiting to get one as they come in, and many of my police buddies are on the list to get one as backup or off duty. So, at least the consensus of those I know is that it is well worth the price and serves its function well.

Mine is now a constant companion. I love it.
Small, and a powerful round for the size package. Very impressed with the workmanship/fit and finish.
Accuracy is not all that great, but not terrible. At 20 feet I can keep all shots in about 4 inches, but I need practice. Im not the yardstick by which anyone should be measured.

Mine has been in my pocket the whole time I have been here in DC area on the SW side where it is legal. I feel it is just right for a summer gun.

I think mine is a great little gun. Do a search for Ruger LCP on just about any gun forum and you'll get all the feedback you can handle. Probably the most discussed gun out there at the moment.

I love mine. I bought if used with 12 rounds through it and the guy had
added a Keltec belt clip and it works great. I shot two mags of
carry ammo through it and it was flawless and I have been carrying
it all summer until the bigger guns come out for winter.

I wish I was in the same boat as all the above posters.
I read all the rave reviews BEFORE picking mine up. I had a FFT the last round in every magazine reguardless what ammo I used. Read some posts online about similar problems AFTER I had bought it.
Basically the slide would chew up the frame - that was fixed on mine as the back part of the frame was machined out (no finish on it).
Also the inside of the barrel had raw machine marks - tried to smooth out slightly with soft dremel and got a new magazine. After, problem would cause 5th & 6th round jamming in roof of barrel.
So right now its back at Ruger for repair..........kind of frustrating. If I ever needed to use it, one would hope it would work as advertised.

I guess if mine had worked fine I would be on the other side of the fence.

Go to www.rugerforum.com and take a look.
Some love them and some don't.
I had one and really like the feel and it seemed to be well made but I got rid of it after reading about some problems.
I'm going to get another one in about a year after the bugs are worked out.

My idea is what welldoya said. Apparently there were a few magazine problems with a few of them, or some other feeding issue, which Ruger seems to know how to fix. I can wait a year or so. I feel the same way about movies and cell phones. If people are still talking about it a year from now, I may buy one.

Met too many people with issues. My local brick and mortar is sellin the hell out of them but cant keep them working on the range even with a low round count.

Ruger is a 1 month turn around to get it fixed due to numbers coming back.

Up to 900 rounds through mine, no issues, lots of different ammo down range.
Vast majority of guns work and work well.
A few lemons and frankly very few bug to be worked out. But feel free to wait for these "bugs" to be worked out, you won't be alone in your wait.

I hit 1250 yesterday, still no issues. can't figure this POS Ruger out. Guess I got the only good one that works. sure hope alot wait a year or so, so I can luckily find my second lcp...
