Looking for help: Colt SAA 38 special matching numbers

Thanks Everyone for the input.

Even though it appears to have lost its collector value, it is still in nice shape and I'm sure someone will enjoy it for the right price.

The widow of the owner just wants it sold at a fair price, she doesn't want to have it around the house anymore.

I'm sure it will find a new home soon.
 
I'd buy it for $1000, and it is an antique and it does NOT have to go to an FFL and I could actually get it legally into Calif. with no paperwork. It is an 1889 Colt SAA ! Obviously harmless ! :neener:
 
Spoke to Colt yesterday, should have the certificate from them in a couple weeks. Once it is in the gun will be official for sale. Colt said the gun was converted to the .38 special.
