N310 is very fast burning and pressure goes up quickly. These loads are MAX.
They don't even show loads with N310 and the .45 in Vihtavouri's 95 second edition load book. They don't show any with 200 Gr. bullets in their online data. They give 4.2 as max with 230 Gr. Jktd. and 4.6 as Max with 185 Gr. Jktd. in their online data.
Reduce 2 to 3 tenths to start and work up.
6.3 Grs. N320 and Berry's 185 Gr. SWC at 1.190 shoots real well. Avg 871 FPS 4" Barrel.
5.4 Grs. N320 and Berry's 200 Gr. HP at 1.200 shoots pretty well. Avg 735 FPS 4" Barrel.
5.4 Grs. N320 and Hornady's 200 Gr. SWC at 1.260 shoots real well. Avg 702 FPS 4" Barrel.
5.2 Grs. N320 and Zero's 230 Gr. JHP at 1.245 shoots real well. Avg 721 FPS 4" Barrel.
I was planning on bumping these up to 6.4, 5.6, 5.6, & 5.4, but have not tried it yet. This would definitly be max.
Reduce these at least 10% to start as they are at or close to max by online data. They are not max by Vihtavuori's 95 second edition load book.
N320 was very accurate from light loads all the way to where I stopped for the time being. Other cheaper powders work very well also.
