Ok gents,

Here in raw form is chrono data from a new ProChrono (which worked 100% reliably). There is some head scratching stuff here like why is the N310 4.0 gr pushing a 200gr lswc results so erratic. Why is .02 grains less of N310 with the same bullet generating over 100 FPS more velocity? OAL's are 1.255 on the 200 gr LSWC and 1.110 on the 185 gr lead bullets.

Well, for starters the 4.0 gr loads of N310 pushing the 200gr bullet are older and I discovered the bullets are not from Missouri Bullets. Also, the 4.0 gr loads of N310 were Small Primer vs the 3.8 gr loads being Large Primer.

Green Dot data

Here is some Green Dot Data for 185gr lead "button" bullets from MBC. I will be testing 200 gr LSWC and soon 185 gr LSWC from MBC. OAL is 1.110 with Winchester Large Primers. Rows are Hi, Lo, Avg, Extremes speed spread, and Standard deviation.

The Green Dot is a difficult powder to meter well and when rechecking powder weights from my Dillon 550 with the Green Dot I saw swings of + / - of 0.2 grains per case load.

Deconstructed a 200gr LSWC load with 4.0 gr of N310

I corrected my first post to reflect it was not a MBC 200 gr LSWC, rather a 200gr budget bullet from another company. I easily understand the large deviation within the 10 shots based on the budget bullet.

I am going to re-test using only MBC 200 gr LSWC with 4.0 gr N310 with large primers and will compare ballistics between the MBC IDP#1 and Bullseye #1 (18 vs 12 BHN). Measured OAL for both is 1.254 - 1.255 with most at 1.255. For some reason the Bullseye #1 bullets were a tad shorter in OAL.

I am certain the data will be more consistant for the 4.0 loads as it was with the 3.8 gr loads prior, which used all MBC 200 gr LSWC IDP#1.

My apologies to MBC as my intial in error posting of the N310 4.0 ballistics reflected their bullets and should not have.
