Do any of the newer manuals have listings for the newest powders? I'm looking for Winchester 244 load data, I have found some online but it's time to update the load manuals.

Printed manuals will lag the introduction of a new powder by quite a bit. Folks that test the data and print the manuals do not publish new manuals very often. Some of them do some testing on new powders and publish the data on line or you can contact them to see if that have any data.

An exception might be the Hodgdon magazine that they publish every winter. Since Hodgdon has the selling rights for Winchester powders, it would be in their best interest to get load data out there. But also generally, Hodgdons's web site usually mirrors the data published in the magazine.

Online is likely your best bet. I've seen updated data for some newer powders at places like Speer and Nosler; granted, it's with their bullets, but you can often substitute components with an appropriate amount of caution.

I'd recommend two; Lyman's 50th and Hodgdon's newest annual. Nearly every powder normally used is covered in these two (I just saw some 244 data in my 2021 Hadgdon manual)...

I printed the available loads from their website. Basic but got me started.

Hodgdon's website has load data for W244. I bought 4 lbs of it and have loaded up some 9mm Berry's. The stuff works fine for moderate loads and meters great out of my small rcbs uniflow. I don't have a chrony for handguns but I settled on 4.3 gr with cci spp mags. It didn't seem to burn any cleaner at 4.5 or 4.6. I'm sure 38 special is on the horizon and maybe even some 357 target loads

lyman 50th does not list 244 yet. I got some data online. enough to get started. First loads seem very light, soot on cases, low recoil, functioned both of my 9mms. going to bump up the powder, and crono the next batch. the first load tried is - 124gr berry's plated - 4.0gr of 244 - remington primers.

update,
224gr berry's plated - 4.0gr of win 244 - averaged 980 fps, dirty cases light recoil, but functioned pistols.
224gr berry's plated - 4.2gr of win 244 - averaged 1050 fps, cleaner cases, recoil felt better.
224gr berry's plated - 4.5gr of win 244 - averaged 1100 fps, clean cases, recoil felt right.
4.5 grains is listed as the max load.

Like said above, the 2022 Hodgdon annual magazine has the data for all their new powders and so does their online load data site. They are useful tools to use while waiting for the published manuals to catch up.

Don’t know if it covers the 244 but the Lee second edition has everything else. Check it out.

You might want to waif until the brand new Lyman #51 manual is available. Usually soon after the other manuals release newer versions too. (usually within a year)

The 2022 Hodgdon manual is really not all that. Nothing you cant esily get by just accessing the web site. I know , I know, some people just want to have it in black and white and I can see the virtues of that, but you could just print out the relevant calibers you need the info on cheaper.
