Looking for quality/cheap .308 ammo

Agreed. I refuse to run anything even mildly corrosive through my guns. I'll even pay full price for commercial if I have to.

I've had good luck with the Tula steel cased in my .308s. Only one noted hiccup so far in about 1500 rounds. The "Bears" seem to work well when I can find them too, though I've not seen more than a few boxes in months. Tula runs me about .45 cents a round (including shipping) which is more reasonable than the usual buck-a-shot from Dick's or the local gun shop. A bulk purchase of 1000 rounds will last me ... a few weekends, anyway. :D

I've had a press and dies for a few years, I just don't ever seem to have the time to get started. The M1A is the only gun I have that's gentle enough on brass to consider reloading for anyway... the 91 chucks empties somewhere into the next county and I've never actually found any out of the FAL... I think they break apart upon atmospheric reentry.

I have found Federal American Eagle reasonable by the 500 rd. case on Gunbroker.com, and it's made in the USA.

Also, check out the "seconds and blems" section at tacticalammunition.com
