If anyone owns the updated (1-2 yrs ago) model of the Savage 10 FCP-SR in .308, I'd like to know how you like it and what your experience has been with it. I'm considering the 20" model and every report I've read has said it's sub-MOA and maybe the best under $1000 rifle in its class. The only issue I've seen is that some people have trouble seating the mag although a couple of users told me it's inexperience or not knowing how to do that's the cause.
What optic are you running on it and if you handload for it, I'd be appreciative if you would share your most accurate recipe but I certainly understand if you'd rather not give out that info.
