Looking for shooting partner/mentor in Lyons Il.

Greetings all, I am new to shooting pistols (long time shotgun and rifle though) and have few friends who share my newest interest. I recently purchased a Colt .45 and wish to shoot on hopefully a regular basis. I live near enough to the indoor range at Midwest Guns in Lyons Il. I also know some of the people there well. I am also close enough to J.R. Shooting Sports in Aurora and Mega-sports in Plainfield. I prefer Midwest though.
I am looking for someone to shoot with and hopefully learn everything 1911 from. Gimme a holler via email [email protected] or PM me if interested.

This Saturday between 10-12 we will be shooting upstairs at Midwest. This is the practical shooting I told you about in my e-mail.

You should come upstairs and introduce yourself. The RO, Jack is always looking for new people to take his class. It is well worth it (taking his classes).

Once you have demonstrated you are safe and understand how he runs the sessions you can shoot with us upstairs.

I definately recommend it!

Thanks for the heads-up GoRon, unfortunately I work every Saturday at that time. I'm sorry, but I didn't get your email... the computer imps musta messed with it. I shot last weekend, and did watch some of the stuff upstairs. That looks pretty intense... way beyond my shooting abilities right now. I unfortunatley was not allowed to shoot my Winchester whitebox FMJ there... have you run into this? Gimme a holler via email or PM, I have some questions for you in regards to Midwest.
