Looking for some 7.62x39 loads for my newly acquired CZ 527 bolt gun. Looking for some plinking and hunting loads. Probably going to get some Berrys Bullets 125 grain SP's for the plinking. They have a max velocity of 1800fps.

What about the hunting bullets? Hornady?

Depends on what you want to Hunt.
I use a couple different bullets for MN Whitetails. The 123gr Speer and Hornady .310 work great, your rifle will most likely shoot one better than the other. Try em both.
The Rem and Win are junk as far as I'm concerned. Never could get either one of them to shoot.
Sierra .311 can be very accurate, but they are too hard for the anemic velocities of the x39.
Barnes makes a .310 hunting bullet, but I have not tried it.

For plinking and maybe even hunting bullets slip on over to GunBroker and look up "bulletguy". He sell seconds at a pretty good priced. I bought 500 Speer 123gr SP for, I think $60.

AA 1680 was designed for the 7.62 x 39, might want to start there for powders.

Yep AA1680 and Speer .310 are my go to combo for 7.62X39 in a couple SKS's and AK that I have. I will have to look at my data and get the load but IIRC it was about 3/4 the way to max for most accuracy in both rifles.

Ah, a man after me own heart! As long as you're not after me Lucky Charms!

Only hunting style load I've built in 7.,62x39 is the Hornaday spire point/soft point 123 grain .310 bullet over 27 grains of AA#1680, COAL 2.17, chronoed at 2,318 FPS, with an SD of 30, out of a 16 inch barrel - not the 24 inch the powder companies use. :) Accurate's data says you can go to 28.3 grains for that bullet for a test barrel speed of 2,445 FPS, so I guess my load isn't too bad.

for hunting only used speer 123gr sp .310 and sierra 125gr sp .311 both did well with RL 7. case volume is the big concern with this round. 25gr of RL 7 out of a 20 inch barrel sks put me right at 2200 fps very accurate and 25.8gr out of 16 inch ak at about the same fps. thats about all that case will handle without smashing powder because most of the bullets have crimp grooves where i wouldnt put them if i were making them. the sierra 125gr .311 have no groove so you can crimp them where you need them. not much wiggle room with this round but u can do more with a bolt gun than auto loader before your brass takes a beating.
