Recently acquired at Smith&Wessom M&P pro series to use as a target/fun gun in 9mm. I like it enough now to invest in loading the lil 9mm. I literally had 1000's of various casing and a few thousand small pistol primers needing to be loaded up (or at least thats my excuse) My father casts all our bullets and I am now looking for mold recommendations. We usually use 4-6 cavity molds for pistol since high volume. Anyone have a favorite (or even a mold they wanna donate, LOL

Thanks As usual guys.

I use the lee 2 cavity .356-125-rn for my 9mm. It casts right at .3578 and I use a .358 sizing die. I have tried a few different lee 9mm molds including Lee's TL design. I like this one the best. I do have to seat them short to run in my lone wolf barreled glock.

What I would do is find out what bullet profile & size the gun likes FIRST.
Then get a mold that corresponds to that bullet.

Because each gun is different, what mine likes, your gun may HATE with a passion.
For example, mine jams constantly with 115 gr bullets, doesn't matter what profile.
But feed it a 124 gr conical nose & it'll eat all day with perfection.

My favorite mold is actually a .38 made by Magma Engineering. Its a 140gr tcfp, all my 9's like the bullet plus it drops big enough to size @.358 , which is what quite a few 9's require since they are oversize. I have 2 M-P molds also , a 125gr fp and a 130gr hp. They are great molds also. Another one is a 135gr fp from NOE, similar shape as Miha's and shoot great as well.
