Looking for value of "older" Savage 10FP

A guy I work with has a Savage Tactical (it says this on the bolt) 10FP in
.308 with an old Redfield 5 Star scope on it. I know the serial number is pre-1995 but I can't find any specific date. Anybody have any info/insight/knowledge to share?

Yes, I'm thinking about buying it for a project.

Well,I bought my 10FP back around 1995,paid around $415.00 for it as I recall.That was pre-Accu-trigger,and I shelled out another 90 bucks or so for a Timney trigger.Put a $300.00 Leupold Vari-X II scope on her.Put Stoney Point target turrets on,another $50.00.Last year I finally took the factory plastic stock off and put her in a green spider-web Duramax,another 120 bucks or so.Let's see,the Harris bipod was around 120 dollars.Uncle Mike's sling,I don't know,maybe $30.00.Sheesh,I coulda bought a pickup truck cheaper than this.No wonder I'm broke.Sure shoots good though.
