looking for varminter 30-06

Sine my hunting has changed a bit, and I am more stagnat, I have considered getting a new 30-06. Somthing I can use to "snipe" open areas and game trails plus some good long-range bench shooting. Due to the stockpile of ammo I have and the 100th year of it, I am sticking w/ 30-06. I am however, having trouble finding a current-production model of heavy-barrel rifles in 30-06.

Any ideas?

Unless you plan on shooting multiple times there is really no reason to have a heavy barrelled rifle for the kind of hunting you describe, I would suggest buying a rifle with a normal sporter coutour barrel but in a really long length, so you can wring every last FPS out of the ol 06 extending your range as much as possible

Weatherby is still making bolt action rifles with 26" barrels. Remington is supposed to be bringing the Sendero back out in normal hunting calibers but I don't know for sure, just what I heard.
