looking into competition shooting

I'm new to these forums and have browsed them for a couple weeks now and checked out some websites. My question is if I want to get into rifle competitions what would be the leagues I should look into. I'm from the Harrisburg area of pa. Also I will be starting with a Remington 700 SPS Varmint in .308

You might want to look into F-Class competition. The first link has state club information and the second is what F-class is all about.
