That's a good AR for someone who drives a 1993 Chevy Cavalier with gold-plated 22" wheels and a $50 radio.

If you want a quality AR, just buy a factory-built rifle from any of a very long list of companies, with some of the best being:
Colt
BCM
Daniel Defense
LMT
Noveske

And a number of very good companies including:
Spike's Tactical
Armalite

You can get a Colt 6920, which is military spec except for the barrel length and lack of full-auto, for under $1000. In quality it runs rings around the gun you posted, and it weighs under 7lbs while I'm guessing that gun, with its monstrous barrel, is 9lbs or more.

No. Get a lower from him, then snap a BCM upper onto it. You can get a real nice rifle fo $1200.

That thing looks like it was assembled from left over parts noone wants. Offer $400.

thanks for the good info!!!!! any of the companys that u guys listed better than the others if im going to put a slidefire on it???

Used, overpriced, nothing noteworthy about it - Spikes is a Tier II rifle, at BEST.

Save $300, buy a Colt 6920 spankin' NiB, and rest easy.

Yeah, that's a great deal. Get that Slidefire on there and do as many mag dumps as you can. Make sure to record it all and put it up on YouTube. setting-himself-on-fire.gif

It doesn't look too expensive for what's in it, but it is a Frankengun, and I would never buy someone else's project gun.

On the other hand, it does have some really good parts on it... (M16 bolt carrier, MI quad rail, etc...)

A bcg is not a sear... The bcg doesn't allow anything to go full auto..

Can you now have an M16 bolt carrier group in an AR15, without a Class III permit?
M16 bolt carrier just means it has the heavier version bolt carrier, by 11grams. These are legal, everyone sells them.

By describing the bolt carrier as a M16 carrier it does not address if it's a commercial BCG or a mil-spec BCG.

IMHO this rifle is about $500 overpriced.

Obviously, you have zero experience with Spikes.

The quality is easily equal to Colt or BCM. Honestly, with the inclusion of the nifty little ST-T2 buffer, I'd put the quality of their uppers slightly above Mil-Spec (which the Spikes Carbine uppers are in every respect) or Colt.

It doesn't hurt that they have a lifetime warranty as well.

Spikes lifetime warranty is a joke. Search my posts for the numerous problems with Spikes.

Hey Spikes!!!! Still waiting to here from ya. Call me.
