Well first get some traning first go to the range , find out which weapon feels

good in your hand,feel the recoil smell the gunpower.GET what is in your price

range,and remember the final act of buying and firing it is yours , make sure

you are happy with the purchase . Now weapons i would look at

REVOLVERS:
1 RUGER: SECURITY SIX , OR POLICE SIX
357 CAL
2. SW 357
AUTO'S
1. Glock 22, 17, (REALY ANY IN 9MM,OR 40 CAL
2. BERETTA (STORM 9MM , OR 40)
3. cz (9mm 0r 40)
4. Tarrus (9mm or 40)
For now that's a good choice(that it is)

Auto- CZ 75B is an affordable, quality option for a 9mm. Not a bad starter gun at all. Not a bad gun to pick up anytime really.

Revolver- 4" Ruger GP100 .357. Very versatile, affordable, would suit your needs well.

buy the taurus pt 92, or 99 for a shooter, it is a good gun. get a cheap 22 revolver for the trapline. i used an H&R 22 revolver to kill my trapped animals, but i was always trapping pests, not pelts. I have a double action, looks like a cowboy gun, can be had around $100 used around here. triggers are crap, but can be mastered with practice. killed a lot of game that was not trapped with it as well.
