Decided to hit the Tanner show today, maybe grab some bullets, brass, other sundries. I don't really expect to find anything worthwhile at a reasonable price, but you never know.
Toward the end of making my rounds, I spotted something tucked behind some other rifles on a rack that caught my attention. I parted with $225, and I am now the proud owner of this:
It's an original Costa Mesa, CA ArmaLite, I'm guessing mid 60s production by the 55xxx serial number. Its in pretty good condition
It also came with a black Charter stock, which will be nice for actually using the thing without risking the original ArmaLite stock.
I'm not real big on the current Henry or other incarnations, but I think an original is pretty cool, and the price was more than fair, IMO.
