Looooong barreled model 94 Winchester

Here is a pic of a gun I recently got in trade from a forum member.

It is a Winchester 94AE .30-30, pre safety with a loooong barrel. At some point in time for unknown reasons, someone replaced the forestock with wood and end cap from (I think) an older Winchester.

I kinda like the look

Now that rifle, IMO, is SCREAMING for a Lyman/Williams sight setup...


with that sight radius, OMG you would have a pretty dang accurate rifle!


Don't get me wrong...I like the buckhorns on my 94...but in some cases it would be nice to have that rear peep setup.

Very pretty. Although I thought barrels on the non-octagon versions of the AE 1894s were kind of thin, they balanced well for such a long barrel.
