I have an old Yugo M24 that was rebarrelled with a 308 Win set-back & rechambered 03-A3 2 groove bbl in the 60's by an old smith who also installed Williams front & rear sights. The front is a screw-on ramp that worked loose the first time I shot it (first time since the late 60s) and I need to remove the blade & re-tighten it. I am reluctant to spend 40 - 50 bucks on a store-boughten tool (my g-g-grandfather Henri was a Prussian Jew, and I am his g-g-grandson ) and am wondering if anyone has a simple/inexpensive field expedient sight pusher. I have pondered it at length and an sure I could come up with one, but I don't have the time & machine capability to do one up right (just a large drill press & the usual dremel & hand tools). It has kind of halted my play-project of glass bedding it and drilling/tapping & scope mounting since I can't leave it flopping around (o.k., it's not a stopper for the bedding project or drill/tap; I'm just lazy right now ). But I do want to set it right, so if anyone has suggestions, please share.
Thanks,
Maj Dad
