I have an EAA SAR b6p. The gun has about 750 flawless rounds threw it. When I was at the range the other day the recoil started to feel weird, like I could feel the pressure on my face if that makes any sense. I fired about 100 rounds and it started on the last 10 or so. I stopped shooting because I thought something was up. I did notice the hammer had a little wiggle horizontally. Not sure if it was like that before but i could move it back and forth a little bit (not completely lose). Is this normal with a DA/SA gun? I was also using cheap Perfecta ammo (brass) from Walmart and thought maybe it could have been over charged maybe. I didn't have any other ammo to try, but picked some up today. Kinda hesitant to shoot it again without getting it checked out though. Any thoughts?

It was only on the last 10 rounds that you started feeling the pressure on your face?

I don't see how some hammer wobble could cause that... it was probably the ammo. Maybe it was a little warmer than what you normally fire?

I dont see the hammer being an issue. Did you check fired brass for pierced/ruptured primers. Or gas leakage from the primer pockets? A dirty chamber may keep the brass from sealing the chamber fully on firing? Powder with a slow burn rate may also add to the pressure felt? Trying different ammo is a great idea.

The gun was cleaned thoroughly before I shot it. I am guessing it's was the ammo. I did pick up the brass and didn't notice anything wrong. It was only the last 10 or so rounds I noticed the difference with the recoil. Thanks for the advice. I picked up some blazer brass and American eagle today will try them out

Ive got the same gun. Got almost 2000 through it so far ( all my loads). I did a polish job on the trigger. Slapped in a reduced hammer and trigger spring. Trigger in both sa and da are light and smooth. A little too light in fact. I need to stiffen the hammer spring back up because i get a light strike every now and then on hard primers.

But i dont notice and real wobble in the hammer like your describing. Not sure why it would be wobbling like that with only 750 rounds through it.

The hammer rides on a steel pin. Neither of them should be worn this early in the game. Now maybe there is some wear on the hole in the frame where the pin rides?

Other than that and maybe a bad fit from factory i have no other clue to offer.

Thanks for the replies I am going to YouTube how to detail strip the firearm and make sure everything looks ok. Probably going to head to the range this weekend to try some different ammo first

You may want to hold off on detail stripping that gun. It's a variant of the basic CZ design, and it's not as simple to detail strip as other guns, particularly if you haven't done a lot of that in the past. (I'm assuming from your question about that hammer wobble that you haven't.) Try some different (maybe "better?") ammo and see if that solved the problem(?).

Not much way the hammer could have had any effect on what you felt...

Yea I am not super experienced with handguns yet and after watching a video on YouTube I decided not to detail strip the gun. I stopped at my local gun store and checked out a new one they had in stock. The hammer was the same. It's not loose or anything just a little play if it's down and I move it with my fingers. I bought some blazer brass and federal and took it to the range this morning. It was %100 the Perfecta Ammo. No issues whatsoever today with 150 rounds. I never had issues with the Perfecta in the past, bit this has me wary of it now. To bad as it's only $9.78 a box. Thanks again for all the suggestions!

BTW if anyone wants an excellent value gun this is it! It ran me $285 locally, but can be had for a little less online. The gun has been perfect through 900 rounds now other than the Perfecta ammo issue. As I am progressing I am realizing how accurate the gun is. I can get decent groups outq to 15 yards with not much experience other than range time and watching YouTube and visiting other sites for accuracy tips. This gun is based off of the CZ 75 and is a great value imo.

Just picked up the compact and am enjoying quite a lot. Accurate, comfortable to shoot, inexpensive, well made.

What's not to like?

In my experience, Perfecta is VERY inconsistent, like: Bang, Bang, BANG, bang - pop, BOOM! all in the same magazine.

If you want good consistent cheap blasting ammo, chances are you will have to load it yourself.

Detail stripping the frame isn't Glock-simple, but nothing to shy away from if you are even marginally mechanically inclined.
