Thanks. I do like the B6P compact and was considering getting the full size and swapping slides...might do it someday.

My SAR B6P has been in my car for a fall, winter, spring, summer and another fall, and its doing OK. I only shoot it about once a month and give it a normal lube after cleaning - just a once over with a rag with some Mobil 1 on it, and a dab of Lubriplate on the rails. I did use Meguiars Gold Class carnauba wax on the outside of the slide. I have been so busy the last few months I haven't gone to the range at all, so it sat in my car for 4 months. I noticed it was a little dusty... I took it to the range today and just shot it and it ran like a champ. I plan to get to the range with it more regularly. But anyway, I have a lot of confidence in this gun.

Thx for the update. I still like my compact and am working on either another in stainless or the full size version.

:banghead:

That is what I paid for Makarov made in 1964. While there is no indication of country of origin anywhere on the gun my friend who looked it over says it was made in East Germany. Oops, I would never leave handgun in a car, but my point is you want all steel gun to keep gun in automobile. I would not trust plastic to go through repeated temperature fluctuations.

I tried the B6P compact and liked it for the most part. I didn't like the trigger over travel but that was easily fixed. It also worked fine with the CZ75 mags we had. Safety was a little on the stiff side but perfectly acceptable on the one we tried. IMHO it's a darn good value. We put over 1000 rounds right out of the box and never had a problem. At 50ft it would keep them all in the black of a standard bullseye target.

I have a B6p and I polished the sear and contacts. Dropped a 14lb reduced hammer spring and the trigger is awesome. The DA is really light! and the SA is smooth as butter! Have to get the smaller Hammer Spring. If you want to know the part Number from Wolf springs just let me know. Ill post a link. Or PM me.

I'd be interested in the part number for the Wolf springs.

Just ordered the compact stainless. Bud's has a sale on for $251 shipped ($90 off original price). Couldn't resist.
I'll have to try working the trigger on this one.
