Loose Rear Sight Blade - PLEASE Help!

I just got out the gun that I'm giving my dad tomorrow, and the rear sight blade (the thin insert with the white outline) seems a little loose. Is this natural? What should/can I do to fix it? Thanks in advance!!!

One drop of thread tightener should do the trick. Sight will still be easy to adjust.

Your best long term solution is to replace it with a rear sight from the good folks at http://www.millettsights.com

Basic crazy glue would be a start.

If it's a Ruger, the best long-term fix is to swap the rear sight body. Bowen has their "Target" and "Rough Country" replacements that have a good rep.

I haven't yet found anybody with a Tritium rear sight for the basic Ruger rear sight as used by practically all their wheelguns.
