Well, I talked to a guy down on his luck. He told me that he had an old Smith he wanted to get rid of, so I asked him what was it. He had no clue what model it was, so he asked me if he could bring it in my shop, I said yes not thinking anything about it. He then brings me a Smith & Wesson model 19-3 with a 4" barrel. I calmly ask him what he wanted, he said 100 bucks. I hesitated, I felt kinda bad, so I told him would he take 200 and he said heck yeah. Finally, I got a great deal on a true wheel gun Legend.

My word, I thought I'd lived long enough to have heard everything.

Taking on an orphaned model 19 is a daunting task, you handled it very well.

Congrats!

Looks like a good price. I don't think it is re-blued. Maybe the pic is fooling me but the blue on the barrel looks thinner and blue is gone from the edge of the trigger guard and recoil shield. However, there is virtually no drag ring on the cylinder and the blue in near perfect at the rear of the frame. Looks like it was carried some and shot darn little. This said, I remember when M15's sold for around $100 brand new.

Photo? You see a photo? I don't see no photo....am I blind? Helluva score, and good on ya for giving the man an extra Franklin! I just hope the gun ain't hot......

We need a special smilie for posts like this.

I will post pictures when I receive the gun back from Smith and Wesson. She's getting the Combat Revolver Package, except for the glass bead finish. Costumer service said 7-12 weeks is the turn around. Once she gets back home, pictures will be a priority!!

+1 on helping the guy out with the extra $100 AND still getting a great gun in the process. And please post pictures when you get it back.
