I have a 7.65 mm Luger 3 5/8" barrel with the Crown N proofs, serial #3453 and a cursive "m" on the underside of the barrel -- all parts have matching s/ns -- it has DWM on the top. 'Germany' marked on front of frame. It's in excellent shape with it's original clip. GESICHERT marked safety. Any idea on manufacture year and value? I've been told it's probably a 1920 Commercial but I need more feedback because I want to list it correctly. I looked in the 29th ed of the Blue Book of Gun Values and it appeared to be the 1920 Commercial except that it didn't mention the GESICHERT marking -- that was mentioned on a 1906 Commercial which is much more valuable according to the BB of GV. I'm new to this forum and would appreciate any help you could give me. I also have a holster included which someone told me was a reproduction but on the back it says P38 and has the markings WaA170 with an eagle over it. I plan to include the holster with the Luger when I sell, so it would be helpful if anyone could give me some idea of its value.

Sure that the holster isn't stamped P-08? I've never seen a P-38 holster with that strap and buckle. I think that's a holster for your gun, the P-08.

AFAIK, "Gesichert" is on every P-08 which means safe. My 1941 Mauser Luger has it also.
