that is the original caliber, and its not a bad caliber either. The ammo is available, and if its as nice as you say, id'e be excited by it. I really like the 1920s vintage commercial 7.65mm Lugers. I sold mine when I needed more aircraft parts.. If I lived in Texas I would have been waving one of my 9mm war horse versions in front of you for a trade.
